An Inspiration to Mankind

We were reading John Barry’s essay about science in class. He compared science to a frontier, science being filled with the vast unknown and teeming with new possibilities. I was delighted by the metaphor, which made a lot of sense. The scientists were exploring new ideas and concepts, which was comparable to the pioneers who ventured into the unknown wildernesses of the world. They also dealt with uncertainty in their field, similar to the pioneers dealing with foreign lands.
